Lexington KY Divorce & Criminal Attorney
Matthew I. Boggs

Matthew I. Boggs joined the firm as an Associate Attorney on July 1, 2020, but he is no stranger to the courtroom. After earning his law degree at the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2019, Matt held the position of Staff Attorney for Hon. Judge Lisa Morgan, 14th Judicial Circuit (Scott, Bourbon and Woodford Counties), Family Division. Matt gained invaluable experience in domestic relations litigation in this capacity, and he “hit the ground running” in our office - already representing clients in matters concerning property division, child custody, parenting time, child support, and even domestic violence claims. Matt is licensed to practice in all state courts in the Commonwealth, and his practice will focus on domestic relations, criminal defense, construction law, personal injury, and various other aspects of civil litigation.
In law school at UK, Matt served as President of the Trial Advocacy Board where his litigation team won back to back regional championships and became semi-finalists in a national trial competition. Matt was also a Staff Editor for the Kentucky Law Journal from 2017-2019 and was a law clerk for the firm during his 2L-3L year. Matt also makes the third employee of the firm to graduate from Eastern Kentucky University.
A Letcher County native, Matt now lives in Lexington with his wife (also an attorney) and their two dogs.
